Demigods
Demigods, or half-bloods, are a race of beings who are half human and half god. Demigod literally means half-god. They possess human souls and are vulnerable to old age and death; however, their godly blood endows them with special abilities that allow them to achieve feats not usually possible by humans.
Description
Demigods are the end result of a god and a human having a child together. Because these children are part god, they have above average reflexes, an affinity for the Greek or Latin language, and may have some level of control or skill over the realm of their godly parent.
While most demigods are created much like regular humans, children of Athena/Minerva are born from their mother's thoughts merging with their father's. In this way, Athena/Minerva remains a virgin goddess and it reflects how she herself was born, sprouting from the head of Zeus.
When a demigod reaches a certain age, normally early teens, their powers start to manifest. At this time, demigods will release a scent that monsters are able to detect. This scent will become stronger if the child learns they are a demigod. If the demigod is a child of a particularly powerful god (like Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus), the scent will be even stronger. If the child never learns that they are a demigod or they are a child of a minor god, monsters may overlook them. It is around this time that they are escorted to Semideus Academy usually by satyrs or by their mortal parent who sent them to Semideus, where they are placed in one of the cabins, each honoring a different god or goddess. Most of the students of Semideus Academy already know who their godly parent is, due to information from their mortal parent.
Some demigods, however, must wait to be claimed. Children of Athena/Minerva are claimed at birth, while others have to demonstrate some form of their parents' trait to be noticed, either through cunning, powers, skills like archery, or even beauty. Otherwise, they are placed in Cabin 11, Hermes/Mercury's Cabin as he is the patron to travelers, and anyone is welcomed there. But after the Second Olympian War, the gods and goddess swore to claim their children by the time their child reached the age of 13.
Demigods often go on quests given to them by the Oracle of Delphi, through prophecies she speaks of.

Appearance
Demigods are completely indistinguishable from humans. They do not have a divine form, however they do inherit some traits from their godly parent's divine form.
Roman Demigods
Because the Western Civilization doesn't always stay at one place, when the gods stayed a bit longer, they began to adapt their new place and adopt some new characteristic. That happened when Western Civilization centered at Rome. And that resulted in Roman versions of the Greek gods. Everyone says they're mostly the same. Indeed, they're the same gods the Ancient Greeks knew, but they're more warlike, disciplined, and militaristic. The easy way to differentiate between Greek demigods and Roman demigods, is to look at the way they act. Greek demigods are typical ordinary students who loves freedom, while the Roman demigods are military school students.
Legacies
A legacy is any mortal who is of second (or further) generation descent of a god, also known as a child of a demigod/demigods. They inherit the powers of their ancestral god, the parents of their parents, or their godly grandparents. And yes, we accept legacies.
